University of Kentucky Basketball Roster Info

As you can see, the University of Kentucky has eight, that’s right, eight new incoming freshman. Coach Cal usually brings in about half that many players each year. However, after the disappointing season UK had for the 2012-2013 year in part due to a limited bench and the injury of Nerlens Noel, Calipari vowed this will never happen again. He plans on bringing in several new players each year.

UK also lost two starting players from the 2012-2013 season to the NBA in Archie Goodwin and Nerlens Noel. Then a shocker hit in July 2013 when what would be Junior Forward and deadeye three-point shooter, Kyle Wiltjer, decided to transfer to Gonzaga. Coach Calipari knew he needed to reload big, and he did just that.

This incoming 2013-2014 class is considered by many to be the best recruiting class in the history of College Basketball. With his size, athleticism, skills, motor, and determination, Julius Randle will put up a fight between Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker for the #1 pick in the NBA, the Harrison twins are considered to be the best set of twins to ever hit the basketball court, Dakari Johnson is a true big guy and the #1 Center in the class, James Young has a lethal jumper and was the state of Michigan’s Mr. Basketball, Marcus Lee was the best shot blocker in all of high school last season, and Dominique Hawkins & Derek Willis were Kentucky’s Mr. Basketball and runner up. What a class! This next season should be a blast folks.
