Last night was the final nationally televised high school all-star game, the Jordan Brand Classic, and we have a replay ready for you to watch using the link below. You can also watch the Nike Hook Summit and the McDonald’s All American game using the same link if you missed those as well.
The Jordan Brand Classic featured all three of Kentucky’s 2015-2016 current commits, including Skal Labissiere, Isaiah Briscoe, and Charles Matthews. This even was the first time a lot of people got to see Matthews play (more on that below).
SPOILERS: It was a pretty sloppy game for the most part, and it did not feature anywhere near the same teamwork and competition as the Nike Hoop Summit game in my opinion. There was a stretch though where the crowd wanted Isaiah Briscoe to go against Antonio Blakeney (LSU) and vice versa for several plays in a row. Briscoe definitely got the best of him buy hitting a step back three and he put on a dribbling/spin move clinic during one of the next possessions. He should be fun to watch at UK. Also, Cheick Diallo played very well and showcased his high motor. Reports came out after the game that UK’s commits are trying to recruit him to come to UK.
