The Kentucky Wildcats (7-0) take on the UCLA Bruins (8-0) at Rupp Arena on Saturday at 12:30 PM (Eastern) on CBS. UCLA is a great offensive team this year–here are a few stats that caught my interest. The Bruins average 97.0 points per game, which is good enough for 3rd in the country. The Cats are just behind them at 4th place averaging 95.6 points per game. UCLA averages the most assists per game in the country at 24.8, and UK is close behind in 3rd place at 21.3. The Bruins are first in the country in FG percentage at 55.3%, and 2nd in the country in 3PT FG percentage at 45.6%. UK is 31st in FG % at 49.6%, and they aren’t close in 3 point percentage. UCLA is 9th in the country in blocks at 6.63 per game, while UK is 4th at 7.57 per game.
The Vegas folks opened the gambling line favoring the good guys by 9 points.
Check back on the site 5-10 minutes after the game for a replay to appear–we’ll make a new post when it is ready. We’ll be doing a Leach & Pratt radio sync of the game as well, but it likely won’t be ready until sometime on Monday afternoon.
