The University of Kentucky basketball program picked up a new 2015-2016 commit today in JUCO transfer Mychal Mulder from Vincennes University. You can watch a replay of the announcement below. Note that the live stream was pretty bad as I don’t think they were anticipating how hard BBN would hit their servers, so the videos starts out fine, then gets supper choppy for a couple minutes (the audio still plays normally throughout), and then it plays smoothly again.
Mulder is a 6’5″ SG that averaged 15.7 points and 6.9 rebounds last season at Vincennes while shooting the three ball at a 46.3% clip. He also has a 44″ vertical from what I have heard, so he’s definitely an interesting prospect. From what I understand, he was a 4-star recruit out of high school and is a great pickup for the Cats as they need more shooters next season.
On a bit of a sad note, shortly after Mulder’s announcement, Cheick Diallo announced he will be playing for Kansas next season.
