Andrew Harrison hosts today’s new episode of This is Kentucky Basketball. The show begins with several Cats reading books to kids at Maxwell Elementary School in Lexington and then taking questions from the kids. The kids mostly wanted to ask about basketball, but the players tried to keep the tone more about reading and school.
The first featured game for this episode is the February 8th match-up at Mississippi State. We get to see Coach Cal’s pre-game locker room thoughts to the team followed by UK highlights synced up to the Tom Leach radio broadcast.
Next up are snippets from Coach Cal’s recent mailbag. He answers the following questions from fans:
Are you seeing the same level of selflessness in this year’s team as you did on the 2012 team, which bought into “being your brother’s keeper?”
How important is chemistry and camaraderie to winning?
Why are we getting beat in transition following made baskets on offense?
Andrew Harrison then answers questions from fans via the #AskACat Twitter hashtag. The questions include:
What’s the best thing about being a twin?
What’s the biggest adjustment you’ve made from high school to college?
When you and Aaron play HORSE, who usually wins?
What other hobbies do you have outside basketball?
Coach Orlandao Antiqua takes us through another installment of “Inside the Play” where he shows the team breaking down the zone at Missouri.
