Enjoy these awesome highlight reel mixtapes featuring UK’s incoming 2013-2014 super freshman. Many people are calling this recruiting class not only the best Kentucky has ever had, but on paper the best EVER in the history of the sport. Players are listed from highest ranked to lowest (per ESPN’s rankings).

Hoopmix tapes are short highlight videos that people record and then mash together to make a compilation video out of them. These videos get posted on YouTube and if the player is popular enough they usually go viral. Most of the videos are created during a player’s high school or AAU basketball seasons. Usually the best mixtapes are a compilation of the best highlights from an entire season. We will try to provide you with these kind of videos.
The amazing thing about the above Julius Randle’s mixtape is that he only got to play a couple games of basketball his senior year due to him breaking his foot during the second game of the season. He was able to come back earlier than expected though during the playoffs and he ended up leading his team to a state championship. The crazy thing is, even though he only played a few games, he has one of the best mixtapes of the class.
The Harrison Twins (Andrew and Aaron) also have pretty nice mixtapes that I’d recommend you watch if you haven’t already seen them. They are both 6’5″ strong guards (one is a PG and the other a SG), that will be pure bulldogs on the court. UK’s starting lineup for the upcoming season will most likely not showcase anyone under 6’5″. Big Blue Madness cannot get here soon enough.
